Omega-3 fatty acids are essential unsaturated fatty acids that the body cannot produce itself and must therefore be obtained from the diet. The omega-3 fatty acids docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) are mainly found in cold-water fatty fish. DHA supports the maintenance of normal vision and normal brain function.
